PTA Chairman files Intra Court Appeal at LHC

Earlier, we reported you that the Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Muhammad Farooq Awan has been terminated by the Lahore High Court. His position was challenged by Khawaja Saad Saleem. He claimed that the position of chairman PTA was not filled according to the rules.Now the terminated  Chairman PTA, Muhammad Farooq Awan has filed an intra court
appeal (ICA) in Lahore High Court (LHC) against his suspension by a single bench. The applicant pleaded that his appointment as a Chairman PTA is legal, and according to rules. He was appointed to the post after the approval of  the Prime Minister .He said the LHC single bench of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah on had declared his appointment unlawful on 31^st December, 2012, by setting aside the notification of his appointment.
He requested to set aside the single bench order and issue direction for his restoration as PTA chairman. More
