Microsoft to Shut Down the Windows Live Messenger

After the acquisition of Skype in 2011, Microsoft has now decided to shut down  its Windows Live Messenger. The Windows Live Messenger aka MSN  Messenger will be closed permanently from 15th March, 2013.MSN  Messenger is the one of the oldest messengers in the internet history that was launched in 1999. Microsoft now is shifting all the exciting Windows Live Messenger users to Skype.

After the change from Messenger to Skype, users will be able to use Skype’s instant messaging, as well as its video calling, landline calling capability, screen sharing, and video calling on mobile phones.
There is also a possibility that the user of Microsoft messenger in China will still be able to use Messenger even after 15th March.More
