China’s first 3D printing museum has been opened last week in Beijing
in DRC Industrial Design and Creative Industry Base. The 3D printing
museum lets the visitors experience the impressive 3D technology.The visitors in the museum scan also have a3D body scan by a shoebox-sized 3D scanner which makes a mini life-like figurine for them to take home.

“With this technology, you can design a pair of shoes just for yourself — the size of the shoes is perfectly measured based on your feet’s 3D data, collected via the 3D scanner, and you can customise colour, pattern and symbols on the computer.”The museum can also print out other items, including cans, rings, vases, shoes, dolls and iPhone holders.
