Facebook introduces ‘Graph Search’


Facebook come out with a new search feature entitled as “Graph Search”. Facebook Inc CEO, Mark Zuckerberg officially declared the Facebook’s new search feature on Tuesday.The new feature Graph Search will focus on navigation through photographs, people, places and other content that has been shared with them.
The experts said that the new Facebook feature Graph search could increase competition with review
websites like Yelp and Google Inc. It also presents a number of potential new revenue opportunities for Facebook.
Graph Search  is not a web search tool it shows private information that isn’t in web search.
Facebook is working on Graph Search implementation in mobile too, all languages, Facebook posts and Open Graph integration (with apps).
Zuckerberg said the tool is aimed at “giving the people the power and tools to take any cut of the graph (of data) they want and make any query they want.”
He added,
 “We are not indexing the Web here, we are indexing our map of the graph.”
The function is currently only available on a trial basis.
