China Radio International launched a new Dosti channel in Pakistan




China Radio International has launched a new Dosti Channel called as FM-98 in Pakistan. The new channel was launched in association with Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. In this connection the inaugural ceremony of the channel was held on Wednesday, 17th October, 2012.The purpose of the launch of new channel is to make people
aware abou the new developments and culture in China and to increase people to people contact.
This new move will extend and strength the unparalleled friendship between the two countries.
Under an agreement with Radio Pakistan, CRI will broadcast Urdu and English programmes from this channel in Islamabad and Karachi for 36 hours daily. English programmes will be broadcast for 12 hours each from Karachi and Islamabad and Urdu programmes for six hours each from both the stations.
Urdu programmes will be aired from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. while English programmes from 6 a.m. to 12 noon, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 8 p.m. hrs to 12 midnight. for more
