Recently Facebook has made the declaration that the it is testing a system which would allow users to send prioritized messages to those who are not included into the list of contacts.

The users can send messages by paying US$1. This primary test engages a small group of people, it is the part of an attempt to monetize its user base. At present if any Facebook user sends message to people who are not on the contact list, the very message goes to a folder entitled ‘Other.’

Iran Launched Mehr : A Video Sharing Website to Compete YouTube

Iran has launched its own Video Sharing website namely ‘Mehr’ meaning affection in Farsi, against YouTube.

The website Url is http://www.mehr.ir and aims to attract Persian-speaking users and also promote Iranian culture, according to its About Us page.
IRIB deputy chief Lotfollah Siahkali said,

Pakistan test fires Hatf-5 Ghauri ballistic missile

Pakistan Army has successfully conducted a test fire of a medium-range Hatf-5 (Ghauri) ballistic missile on Wednesday.

The ISPR’s press release said that the launch was conducted by a Strategic Missile Group of the Army Strategic Force Command on the culmination of a field training exercise that was aimed at testing the operational readiness of the Army Strategic Force Command.
Ghauri ballistic missile is a liquid fuel missile which can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads over a distance of 1300 kms.

PTA issues directives to halt Night Packages

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has directed all existing cellular Companies to halt all night call packages immediately.

Chairman PTA Mr. Farooq Awan said in a statement,
“We have received a number of complaints from the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Standing Committee of the Parliament, senators, MNAs and subscribers regarding the promotion of vulgarity through such advertisements and have therefore asked CMOs to immediately discontinue such packages and to present compliance reports.”
